We spent our day yesterday in the garden, tending our veg, mowing our lawns, digging our pond, and most importantly – loving our frogs I remember collecting frog spawn as a kid, keeping it in an old washing up bowl in the garden, being thrilled to see the transformation from spawn, to tadpoles, to [...] Sunny today, so working in the garden. Pots are running short, so as soon as anything gets slightly bigger than weedy seedling I bung it in the ground and cross my fingers, today the tomatoes got a chance to progress on, well, 29 of them did, the other variety will have to wait a [...] So, the last post was all excitement and anticipation – planting the seeds and waiting for the veg to start growing. Look at it now! In the foreground we have sprouts, and around those we have a tub of lettuce, lots of different varieties, we also have beetroot, and lots of cabbage, and radish (the dandelions you [...] Rocket, living up to it’s name! Today we woke up to see that our Rocket was already miles ahead of our other seeds! This afternoon, on checking again, we see that our radish is also pushing above the soil! All good stuff! We started sowing our seeds two days ago – my bedroom windowsill is now [...] |
